For every brewer, it’s essential that labels are not only beautiful but also compliant with European law. According to Regulation (EU) 1169/2011, a beer label must include:
- Product name: e.g., “Blond” or “IPA”.
- Net quantity: e.g., 33 cl.
- Alcohol by volume: e.g., 6.5% vol.
- Name and address of the producer or importer.
- Country of origin.
- Durability date.
- Batch number for traceability.
- Ingredients list including allergens: e.g., barley or wheat.
- Warnings or symbols: such as alcohol and pregnancy icons.
