The biggest environmental problem that we face today is climate change. Due to the ever-increasing consumption and production made throughout the world, Earth is warming up at drastic rates and we are now in an accelerated climate change. To help remedy this environmental problem, we have already taken many measures, however, we have recently also implemented a new environmentally friendly solution; a minimum order quantity. We will explain this decision more in-depth within this article.

 

FSC

A measure that we have already taken into action is that we have chosen only to use label material that is made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) paper. FSC is an international organization that ensures that forest management is implemented in a balanced manner, taking into account economic, ecological and social aspects.

BPA

In addition, Zolemba has also ensured that their products are BPA-free. BPA (Bisphenol A) is a chemical that is used in many plastic products. When this substance is processed during production and then used by consumers, small amounts of it can end up in the food. The ingestion of too much BPA is harmful to the kidneys, liver and fertility. We therefore consciously do not use this substance.

 

Minimum Order Quantity

Furthermore to the current improvements, we have also opted for a new standard. We have recently set a minimum order quantity when ordering labels. As a result, it is only possible for a number of label rolls to ordered per set, in larger numbers (a fixed box). This new standard reduces the packaging waste because it no longer uses a separate box for each separate roll of labels. This also contributes to a longer shelf life for the labels, most labels can be kept for up to 2 years when stored correctly.
