This printer is suitable for rolls with a 25mm core. With the use of our external roll holder, you can use a larger roll with a 76mm core.
The standard model of our Bixolon printers is the Bixolon XD5-40dK. This direct thermal printer is one of Bixolon’s most modern desktop devices. One of the many advantages of the Bixolon XD5-40dK is the small format and its easy use. The printer is suitable for labels with a width of 118 mm and prints 178 mm per second, and uses the direct thermal print technology, eliminating the necessity of ink, toner or ink ribbons. The printer offers the programming languages SLCS, BGP-Z and BPL-E, who navigate the printer. A printing resolution of 203 dpi creates the opportunity of very well labels. The printer features a parallel, serial and USB port. De XD5-40dK is suited for PC and is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.
* There is no official driver and support of this printer for MAC. A compatible driver can be installed using CUPS so that the printer can be directed with MAC.
